How many people have watched 'Indecent Propsal'? It is a early 90's movie with Demi Moore & Woody Harrelson.
Basicly their characters are broke & struggling, they argue a lot, but have great sex. They go to either Vegas or Atlantic City on vacation. A rich guy offers them a million dollars for one night with Demi's character. They need the money so they agree to do it.
Despite it all, she ends up fallong for the rich guy & breaks Woody's heart...I think they get back together at the end, but its been awhile since I've seen it.
So anyways, my point & question is this; How many people would take up that offer? Married or not, would you do it for the money?
My answer is 'Hell Yes!'
My husband knows this, as I have discussed it with him. But I have promised as well that our ending wouldn't be like the movie.
So, what is your answer?

Paint & Butterscotch
I painted my master bathroom this morning! I couldn't stand looking at a sloppy paint job that someone did any longer.
It was two different shades of a beige color. Kinda like a khaki/whiteish tone. It was awful! It was so bad that actually grossed me out. Now it's just plain sterile white.
And now, looking into the bathroom, I am convinced that the rest of the house needs FRESH paint! I will not be attempting that one on my own though. I will either hire someone, or get a sprayer & make Brad help me get the job done.
Oh, I need to replace the light fixture now to. The current one grosses me out to! I'm also going to look for some sort of valance for the window, a plant type picture to hang above the towel bar & a new TP holder to match the towel bar.
Now I'm going downtown to a boutique I passed yesterday called 'Pockets'...very cute looking kids store!
Oh & I learned that Chandler Bing is called a 'Butterscotch Tabby'...now Layla won't stop calling him that!

I am the 'Karate Kid' of shopping
Today was relaxing. Well, this morning was. I took the girls to school, came home & did a chore or two. Brad & I went to Home Depot & wandered around for about an hour & a half...I bought the paint for our bathroom & the cobweb broom I couldn't find anywhere!
Stopped at Wal-Mart to get some fever medicine, & a few other things. Found the missing piece for Teagan's 'dead bride' costume, but it was missing two pieces & they wouldn't even mark it down even though I couldn't find another one. They expected me to dig through 3 FULL carts to find what was missing even though I didn't want it. So, I passed.
Picked up Layla, checked on Teagan...school nurse called while we were out. She was fine & finished the day.
Layla & I went to the mall specificly to Journey's to find Teagan a pair of hot pink Chuck Taylor's. Found them at FootLocker instead. I found 2 Xbox games for Brad at the game store...Buy 2 get 1 free, well one won't work...oh well.
Shoe Pavillion in the mall here is going out of business, & I found a pair of brown Steve Madden boots I really wanted, but couldn't bare to spend $40 when I'm only going to get 10% off that price. That just takes the tax off & then adds it back on!
BUT, I did find a pair of Seven Jeans!! The tag said $19.99 so I was all stoked! But she said that the tag was wrong & that they were $9.99!!!!! Can you imagine my giddiness then? I proudly swiped that Visa on the spot!
I have NEVER, EVER paid full price for any of my designer duds! My girlfriends are in such total awe when I tell them the deals I find!
That is why I proudly say that I have a Black Belt in shopping!

Playing Naughty
I know that most women read 'Cosmo' so I'm sure everyone has read the current 'red hot read'...
Let's just say that I have had dreams that pretty much follow that story.
The beginning of the article is pretty exact to what I felt standing in front of him for the first time since the last time we saw eachother 8 years earlier.
And the rest of the story...well, it varies in my dreams, but still goes with the general idea of being with the person you were in love with again after a long stretch of time apart.
If you could copyright your dreams, I'd sue for plagrisiam! (again, no spell check on the phone!)

A good friend & a glass of wine
So a few days ago I started a post & somehow when I was finished, it didn't post. Maybe a wrong button was pushed (I am using my phone!)
Anyways I don't remember everyting I wrote but from what I can remember I said I had finished reading 'The Choice' by Nicholas Sparks & would reccomend (no spell check on the phone) it to anyone to read.
Also that Flogging Molly was a kick ass show at the Chico State BMU!!!! I'm just sorry that Nichole decided to stay home. I love when nationally know bands come to Chico & play the Senator or the BMU, it's so cool because the venues aren't arena sized & it's more personal.
Back to reading real quick...I know I've read the book I'm currently reading I think my senior year but I liked it & wanted to read it again. 'A Tree Grows In Brooklyn'...another book I would reccomend.
Oh I also said that I had watched 'Sex & the city' the movie even though I have never watched a single episode of that show. It was fun to watch & Brad even stayed up & watched part of it with me. I asked my BFF what character she thought I would be but she never texted me her answer.
Carissa ran a half marathon this last weekend in Portland!!!! Her time was 1:55:17...I'm so proud of her & I miss her like crazy! I need to go visit her! I should wrap myself up & visit at christmas!
We drove up to Grass Valley yesterday to kill time before I had to don the Red & Khaki's...It's a nice quiet hilly little town. I went to a wedding there YEARS ago, so I don't remember much of it. It has a cute historic downtown district. Lots of little shops that you can't really take kids into, so Brad & I will have to go back again by ourselves.
Tomorrow is Pumpkin Patch field trip day for Layla. Teagan went last week. We bought 3 pumpkins at Wal-Mart though, cause it seems that the field ones are a bit on the small side this year.
Well, it's Monday & I have chores to do. Time to get started, plus my BFF just texted me with some relationship woes...this is where a glass of wine comes in handy. That or a trip to Joe's

Creamy Chicken Noodle Soup was what he used to make me to make me feel better
48-7!!!!! PSU is 7-0 in the country but #6 in the Big TEN....HOW is that possible? I just don't understand.
My manager broke her collar bone yesterday playing rugby. Yes SHE broke it playing RUGBY! She is about the same size as me but a little bit slimmer, mom of 2 and totally sporty. I wanted to go watch her game one saturday but couldn't get around to getting out of the house.
Flogging Molly is going to be at the BMU thursday night! Luckily tickets are affordable so there is a chance I'll be packing my bottle ofJameson & sporting some plaid!
I put aside my current book I've been reading to start another. Why start another before I finshed the first one? I don't know, maybe cause I've been wanting to read 'The Cranberry Queen' forever, it'll still be there when I finish 'The Choice'...which at first didn't hold my attention. But I think it's because I'm sick.
Sick....yup my first head cold of the year. I slept almost all day friday, half of saturday & alittle bit of today. I didn't get my bathroom paint so I'll be sleeping after I take the girls to school instead of painting my bathroom. Which now that I think about it, the paint fumes would probably make me feel even sicker.
I think being sick brings on all these exciting dreams of people from my past.
Perhaps there is a greener side on the other side of the fence.

Runaway Train
I try to watch VH1 in the mornings because music helps me get moving. Especially when my head is in a fog & I feel lethargic.
I've heard it before a few times & have watched the video. The sound & beat is familiar and somewhat nostalgic.
AC/DC has a new album out; 'Black Ice' To me it sounds just like every other song they've sung before, that we faithfully rush to the dance floor to be 'shook all night'
(Oh & O.A.R. reminds me of David Gray...at least his voice does)
Back to me feeling in a fog & lethargic...I had last night off, a FRIDAY night off, and I went to bed at 8:00!!!! (like it matters, I have every friday off) anyways I practically slept all day on & off.
I took the girls to school & went to Target to pick up some stuff for Brad's mystery case of full body hives. (another posting) Both of us felt like crap all day & slept our share of catnaps. I had laundry to do & some picking up to do but it didn't get done.
I wanted steak for dinner but I had no energy, plus it was windy as Chicago & I didn't want BBQ, so fish sticks for the girls it was. Quick & easy & full of no nutrional value at all. They scarffed them down so at least they didn't starve.
Because I went to bed at 8pm I figured I'd be wide awake at 2 or 3 in the morning...but I wasn't. I slept like a log & had some AMAZING dreams. (always a plus :)
I'm just curious to find out why they were all about people from my past. Oh well, since the bedroom is a little quiet lately, whatever happens with people from my past in dreams, is fine with me!!!

Hollywood's not America
So the weather is getting colder, not extreme cold, but enough to wear jeans or a sweater. Now I'm the type of girl that practically wears flipflops year round so to put socks & shoes on totally sucks!!
I found my Top Gun shirt that I love, though it is so tight around my chest now (they must've gotten bigger!) I don't think I'll be able to wear it this year.
I also found my 2 FAVORITE pairs of jeans!! I haven't worn one pair for over 2 years so I was a little sad to find them because I was sure they wouldn't fit! I tried them on this morning and I didn't even have to lay down on the bed to button/zip them up! They fit like a glove, but they aren't TOO tight that I can't breathe. They still look good on me, of course. The best thing about them, they are a size 5!!!!
I haven't tried on my Citizens yet, but hopefully they'll fit too. They better, they were too expensive to wear for just one year.
I'm bored right now so I'm making myself an early lunch & watching the newest reality show on MTV...'Paris Hilton's New BFF'...god I am bored.
I figure she needs a new BFF because Nichole woke up & realized that there is more to life than being intoxicated & getting arrested & starving herself.
Although it took her getting married & becoming a mom, I'm glad there is one less crazy celebrity out there.
Oh & thank goodness she told that Michelle girl goodbye. I wouldn't have been able to watch this shit if she stayed, because she looks like that snagletooth whore of a backwoods barbie named Karri Perry.

Feeling Lucky?
Teagan found TWO 4 leaf clovers today. Maybe it's a sign? Maybe Brad & I need to get a babysitter and go to the casino soon! Maybe this is a sign that something good is going to happen to us? Lord knows we need some luck of the draw.
On the other hand, PENN State won yesterday! The score was 20-6, with Purdue habging their heads in defeat! PSU is currently #1 in the BIG TEN conference!!!!
Also, Brad & I are thinking of moving back to Texas within a year or sooner. We love it there & it's home to us. That's where we started our family. Plus, it doesn't get any better when you can buy a house for $90,000 instead of the same house in Ca for $500,000!!!!!

To Have & To Hold, through sickness & health, for richer or poorer
9 years of blissful married life!Brad & I on the night we married. San Antonio, Texas
Brad was 22 and I was 19 years old.
We were young and in love and blind to our future.
We are closer now in every way than we were on that saturday morning in
San Antonio Texas, standing there with tears in our eyes.
We exchanged vows at 11am in Bexar County.
We promised our lives to eachother in good times and in bad.
And I'm happy to say, though hard to believe,
we have had more good times than bad.

Electric Shopping Carts
Not all, but I see serveral that get on them and think they are some sort of shopping god. They honk the horn and its "get out of my way or die today" mentallity. I thought they would have to follow the same rules as everyone else. But I guess if they can ram you and shove you out of the way it's fair game. And if they do honk and you dont move some of them get pretty pissy. I figure they can relax; they have a seat. I wonder if they just shove right to the head of the line?
When genuinely disabled people come to shop, there are often none available. I have watched in disgust as genuinely disabled folks struggle to shop in their wheelchairs with a basket across their lap, or a regular cart in front of their wheelchair. You may have seen them too. People who are able bodied need to get up, get a regular cart, and push it.
By my experience with people that use these electric carts, all of them are mostly the overweight people who are too fat to walk off the 1,000 calories form the big mac & supersized fries and large DIET coke! And what kind of things do things do these land whales usually have in their carts? Ice cream, cookies, cakes, soda, chips and just about anything else with no nutritional value beyond raw calories. What really makes me sick is when they use food stamps to pay for this junk. Why is that allowed? Those were meant for the staple foods that make a good meal so that nobody has to starve. Buying garbage snacks with them should be banned.
Don't they get it? If they walked at least 30 minutes a day, they could be off to a good start by loosing all that extra weight. Sure it might hurt their "cankles" at first, but if they kept walking instead of riding a cart, maybe someone else who really is handicapped won't have to wait their turn for one of those carts!

Unhappily Ever After
Kendra is hooking up with a football player, go figure. Hank Baskett of the Philidelphia Eagles. I guess there weren't any eligable bachelors on her favorite team, the SD Chargers....
And then Holly has apparently been seen with Criss Angel...eh, he's alright. She wants to get married and have kids and I guess she just couldn't convince Hef to DIVORCE his WIFE, Kimberly Conrad who is the mother of 2 of his 4 kids!
And then, always sweet and innocent and not to say the least, the ditziest sounding one, Bridget IS MARRIED to a guy in Ohio!!!
WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON???????????
The government busts a ring of polygamists in Texas, but celebrities are free to commit adultry and get away with it?
What the hell is this country coming too????

There goes another $1.00 down the drain
Teagan has officially lost her 5th tooth this morning. After months of being so happy that she had another loose tooth,
and about 3 days of crying and starving because she couldn't eat,
and a mouth full of yellowish teeth because she wouldn't brush them...
Mommy came to the rescue and pulled it out.
Well, I didn't really have to do much pulling,
the tooth was dangling there by a string of gum,
and it basically fell out on it's own...with a tad bit of help.
So, off to school she went smiling and giggly.
She learned to push her tounge out the hole.
She was so excited to tell her teacher,
who is probably grateful it didn't fall out during class.
She'll be eating lunch today at school,
and hopefully won't be so hungry when she comes home.

If God isn't a fan of PENN STATE

I'm starting to get Super Saturday fever...what is it with me and all these fevers? Speaking of, I'm really warm right now...it's getting hot in the house. Time to turn the AC on.
Anyways...I'm looking at the site to purchase football tickets. Not any football tickets, PSU football tickets! They have the schedules of future games all the way to 2012!!! I think I will start saving my quarters to purchase tickets to at least 3 games. Definitely have to go with a Michigan game, and either Ohio State or Purdue.
The last game I was at was against Nebraska in 2002. Let me tell you, it was the most thrilling thing I have witnessed. There was so much adrenaline, and excitement it was uncontrollable. Now I know why they say that Penn State has the best 'Student Section' in the country! There was over 110,000 people in Beaver Stadium that day, and to top it all off...Joe Pa was graced with his 329th winning game!!!!

I don't get people who say
"I hate drama"....
But then they turn around and complain that everything is always the same and fuck it all, blab blab blab, on and on and on about who did what, so and so said this about this person, or they are over it when really they aren't....??????
This is why I truly truly, honestly can say that I am one that does not get involved with anything anymore. I've been involved in it, started it, ended it and it isn't a fun place to be or a fun thing to deal with...it's acutally quite exhausting keeping all the facts straight and remembering who said what and when.
If there is stuff going on say at work...I let the involved people say what they want to say, and keep it at that...I don't go running to who ever it is they might have talked about and tell them what they just said...
I STAY OUT OF IT!!!!!!!! I guess that's why everyone asks me how I manage to just let things "roll of my back"...I just do. I don't care what other people are up to in their lives unless it directly involves me. But even if it does, I still don't get involved.
How many of us can really say that they are not involved in any form of drama, when they keep bashing it one way or another?
